Young people could use the same stimulus for Arts Award and another qualification, however the evidence and assessment requirements would not be the same. So it is essential that they focus on the evidence and assessment requirements for each qualification and make sure that any work submitted meets that criteria.
Any work submitted for Arts Award will be assessed by a trained adviser. Provided that an adviser is satisfied that work meets the relevant criteria then it can be included in an Arts Award portfolio or arts log. For instance, a piece of work completed for GCSE Music could be included as part of a Bronze portfolio, but it must be assessed against the Bronze criteria separately. Additional work may be needed to satisfy the Arts Award requirements as detailed in the adviser toolkit.
