Six simple steps to becoming an Arts Award adviser

Before you deliver Arts Award – or to start running another level - you need to attend one of our adviser training courses. The course will tell you everything you need to know about supporting young people through Arts Award.

This step-by-step guide will help you book onto one of our online adviser training courses, which take place throughout the year.

If there's a group of six or more people in your organisation or partnership who want to offer Arts Award, book direct with the Arts Award training team.

Use our course search tool to find a date that suits you and book your course online.

Check your emails. You'll get an invoice from us, which you print and return with your payment to confirm your booking.

Pay for the course. Payment instructions are on the invoice, or read our guide to payment methods. One we have your payment, we'll send an email confirming your place.

If you need to cancel, please get in touch. Our Terms and Conditions explain the rules on cancellation.

Complete the course. Do the independent learning tasks and attend the webinar. The trainer will assess your understanding and ability to deliver Arts Award with young people during the webinar. Our Arts Award adviser person specification download explains what they're looking for.

Complete your adviser training successfully. You'll get an email two to three weeks later confirming that you're now an Arts Award adviser – congratulations! You'll also get your adviser login details and suggestions of what to do next.

If you haven't received this email three weeks after your course, please let us know.

Give us feedback. We'd love to know how your course went, so please fill in an adviser training feedback form. Your feedback helps us improve our training for future participants.
