At a Bronze/Silver/Gold standard moderation, an Arts Award moderator will meet the adviser(s) and representatives of the group of young people at your own venue. The role of the moderator is to validate the adviser's assessment. Adviser's must have accuately completed a (one page) assessment report form per portfolio, against the criteria laid out in the Bronze/Silver/Gold toolkit. Download adviser assessment report forms from the centre resources pages. The moderator will speak with the adviser(s), look through a sample of the portfolios and then meet with the young people (25% of the group up to max. 10, or 15 for groups of 80+). You can request a standard moderation at any time of year and can ask for a particular date and time, but the more notice you give, the more likely we will be able to match your requirements. At minimum, you must book at least 8 weeks in advance.
It is not possible to request a moderation unless the trained adviser is linked to the registered Arts Award centre, which is also done through the adviser portal.
