What is an adviser training course?
To become an Arts Award adviser and support and assess children and young people through Arts Award you need to successfully complete a training course.
Our training courses are offered throughout the year in various locations across the UK, and cover everything you need to know about delivering, running and successfully completing Arts Award at your organisation.

Arts Award alumni with Voice membership are eligible to a 15% discount for adviser training. In order to claim for the discount, please place a booking to a public training course. Once you have received an invoice, please complete this short online form where your membership will be verified. You will then be sent an updated invoice with the discount applied.
Please ensure you have read the Terms and Conditions to confirm that you are eligible.

Can I run a training course at my organisation?
We also offer in-house training where a trainer can run a course at a date, time and location to suit you.
You can book any of our courses to be delivered in this way, which is more cost-effective if you are training 6 to 15 people. To find out more about this you can read our information on in-house training.
I have access needs or specific individual requirements
Arts Award is continually working to improve access to our programmes, including training courses, for everyone with specific individual requirements. You can find out more on this here.
Disabled access for all our adviser training venues is listed on each training date listing. If you need further information or have specific access needs, please contact us as far in advance as you can so that we may make and confirm suitable adjustments to the training day for you.
You should also find you can let us know of any requirements when you book online or via the Late Booking form, if this option is open to you.
Please note, if advisers need training materials in accessible digital formats or advance copies of material for BSL interpreters, we will need a minimum of 6 weeks notice to provide materials in hard copy large print, Braille or as audio recordings, as these are produced to order.
Please also note we require at least 8 weeks notice for certain other requests such as securing British Sign Language translators.
I have already trained, is there other support available?
If you trained a while ago, there is no need to retrain at the same level. You can find all sorts of help and resources on the Adviser Hub to help you get restarted with Arts Award, where you can also look into our different support options to check your eligibility to receive direct advice for delivering Arts Award at your centre.
