Arts Award Week was held on 2-10 July 2016 to celebrate Arts Award’s 10 years. The week was the finale of Arts Award’s 10th birthday celebrations that spanned 10 months, beginning with Start Your Arts Award Day back in October 2015.
During Arts Award Week 160 centres, Arts Award Supporter venues and Bridges held a range of activities and events both to celebrate the achievements of young people involved in Arts Award and also to showcase and raise awareness of the range of Arts Award opportunities on offer. Check out which centres took part and what they did.
Bridge organisations across England also marked Arts Award Week, with a range of activities and celebration events – look what happened near you.
A GOLDExpo and the ArtsAward10 Reception launched Arts Award Week (both taking place at Rich Mix in London on the 30th June 2016). The findings of the three-year study by London South Bank University on Arts Award's impact were also launched at the ArtsAward10 Reception. See more at artsaward.org.uk/impactstudy
For young people, an Our Creative Future focus on Arts Award Voice brought together tips and advice on creative careers, including video interviews and insights from artists, employers and Gold achievers. Young people also got the chance to ask their questions about creative careers directly to artists and creative sector employers at an ArtsAward10 Twitter Party. See the discussion in full by searching for #OurCreativeFuture on Twitter.
