This year, Arts Award and Creative and Cultural Skills both celebrate their tenth anniversary.
Arts Award and Creative & Cultural Skills have collaborated throughout the ten year period. In particular they have worked together to develop pathways into further education and training, establish Silver and Gold Arts Award as approved knowledge qualifications on the Community Arts Apprenticeship framework and most recently, to embed Arts Award into the Creative Employment Programme.
Looking forward, Arts Award and Creative & Cultural Skills will continue to work together to ensure that the qualifications flourish as an important part of the Creative Employment Programme. We are also committed to supporting colleges and training agencies to deliver the award through a priority focus on the further education sector in the coming year.
Creative & Cultural Skills’ mission is to give young people opportunities to work and learn in the creative industries and to ensure that employers benefit from a skilled generation of talent helping creative industries continue on a course of economic growth.
Arts Award’s aspiration in our tenth birthday year is for 250,000 awards to be achieved by young people by summer 2016. Advisers, young people and everyone in our community have a part to play. You can pledge your support now or sign up to be the first to hear about developments.
