24 organisations from across the country have become the newest members of Arts Award’s badge scheme, Arts Award Welcome.
The badge announces that an organisation supports young people taking part in Arts Award, the national qualification, by offering activities, events, placements and opportunities to meet arts professionals. Young people and the professionals that support them find out about these tailored opportunities via the Arts Award website, Facebook page and in Arts Award e-bulletins.
Diana Walton, Head of Arts Award Development, Arts Council England said 'Young people working towards an Arts Award need the support of the professional arts world in order to experience the arts and develop their skills in a real environment. I’m delighted that so many organisations are using the Arts Award Welcome badge to publicise their commitment to Arts Award.'
