London Arts Award conference 

Thanks to all of you who came to the conference on 2 December and made it such a successful day!  Feedback suggests that it was a useful and enjoyable day - with a great lunch! 

Thanks too to everyone who completed an evaluation form.  90% of the people who replied went away feeling more confident in offering Arts Award and there was good feedback on the workshops, venue and lunch.  Some more experienced advisers felt the day was aimed too much at those with little experience, which is very useful feedback that will inform next year's conference.

Congratulations to Camilla from Catch 22 who won the Amazon voucher!

 

Bus-Tops Bronze

As those of you at the conference will know, we are very excited to be working with Alfie Dennen on a special project that links Arts Award with London's Artists Taking the Lead project, part of the Cultural Olympiad.  Details of the project, including guidance notes will be downloadable here soon but in the meantime `Like' the Bus-Tops page on Facebook or check the Bus-Tops website to stay informed, or contact Caroline for more information about Bus-Tops Bronze.

Bus Tops Update

20 installations are up and in use, with another 10 on their way.  These bus routes will all have three installations

route 4: Archway to Waterloo
route 76: Seven Sisters to Lower Marsh, Waterloo
route 113: Edgware Bust Station to Marble Arch
route 210: Finsbury Park to Brent Cross
route 472: North Greenwich to Thamesmead
route 688: Southgate to Jewish Free School, Brent

Check out your nearest installation  and look out for the website where you can leave comments on what you've seen and upload work by young people you work with - or your own ideas!

Adviser networking meetings coming up

Arts Award networking sessions support existing Arts Award advisers and provide information for those interested in running Arts Award. They enable advisers to discuss issues and share good practice. Some networking events include opportunities for young people to meet and work together.
